France to Honour Louis Braille

Raymond Domenech unveiled the FFF list of selected players for the friendly matches against Nigeria on Tuesday June 2 in Saint-Etienne and France-Turkey, Friday June 5 in Lyon. On this occasion, the coach also revealed special football shirts - with the names written in Braille, which Les Bleus will wear at the meeting.

This world premiere aims to highlight the universal system of writing and reading developed by Louis Braille, born 200 years ago, in 1809.

This idea will help all the blind referees when it comes to booking players who have fouled \"divers\".

Ridiculous - a great achievement but it has nothing to do with football and shouldn\'t be on a shirt.

It could backfire, perhaps enabling French players to be manhandled for the sake of learning who they are.

I\'d love to be listening to the first French national side match to listen the umpteen mistakes made by the commentators in identifying players.

M. Braille would have been a Gemini, so I wonder if Domenech has considered the compatibility of Geminis with the members of his squad.

Although it looks cool, it\'s obviously not practical unless you\'re feeling the player\'s back!
Silly idea, silly manager.
