Olympique Lyonnais has terminated its relationship with Noel Soccer, exclusive licensee of the British sports manufacturer Umbro.

The team will continue to wear the kits of the manufacturer Umbro in this 2009/2010 season.

On 7 August 2009, Olympique Lyonnais and Adidas made an agreement under which, for a period of ten seasons, starting from the 2010/2011 season, Adidas will become the exclusive supplier of sports equipment of Olympique Lyonnais, with estimation of it being worth around 5 million EURO annually.

Under this agreement, Olympique Lyonnais will receive a minimum flat rate payment, and royalties on sales of products bearing the marks of Olympique Lyonnais and Adidas,

The payment may be adjusted based on these sales and results of Olympique Lyonnais in the French competition and/or Europe.

Olympique Lyonnais is pleased to announce this long-term partnership with Adidas, a company that enjoys a strong brand reputation in the field of football equipment.

I\'m not an idiot. I know all Germans are not Nazis - I have German relatives, but that doesn\'t change the fact that Adolf and Rudolph Dassler (founders of Adidas and Puma) were both active members of the Nazi party. The Adidas factory produced Panzerschrecks (bazookas) during the war.

I think this could be good news. We will see next year. I hope they will spent so much time in their kits as Marseilles .

It was very important for Adidas to not loose French Market. Even if they sell more shirts than other teams with Olympique de Marseille (OM), they recently lost Equipe de France (deals with Nike). Now, with this 10 years contracts (and if they keep OM) they will be more leader in France.

Marseille is about 300 000 shirts
Lyon: 200 000.
It\'s a good deal for them.
