Embarrassing Shirt Sponsors 7 Months ago
I was in the TOFFS website and they now making a replica of LOSC Lille's 1975-1985 shirt and noticed that LOSC's shirt sponsor at that time was Peaudouce a nappy brand can anyone else think of a sponsor that is embarrassing as that?

As a pompey fan it was pretty embarrasing walking round with a big read heart (ty beanies) on the front of my shirt for three seasons!

Club America (and another club too) in Mexico are sponsored by 'Bimbo'; jokes about footballer's wives welcome

did real madrid ever keep a clean sheet when they were sponsored by Siemens?

and Club Brugge had the really catchy "1,25% + 2%" on their shirts a couple of years back.

but surely the most embarassing of all is Newcastle's current sponsor, Northern Rock.

Lower league Scottish team Clydebank had the pop band Wet Wet Wet as shirt sponsors back in 1995. How lame. They were a shit band too.

My local team, Limerick 37, had a local radio station sponsor our shirts last season. It's one of those commerical, chart-orientated stations that plays the same drivel and pap hour after hour. Sadly, I couldn't bring myself to buy one. Needless to say, I wont mention said radio station, I don't want to give them the publicity.

I'm afraid our team takes the biscuit. Livingston FC (then SPL team) are sponsored by the bank Intelligent Finance and we have the temerity to go into administration. If only we had some.....!!!!

Wouldn't happen to be Live95? HAHA! UP MONAGHAN UNITED!

I'd say the most embarrassing sponsor is Bimbo for most of the Mexican league teams. I mean who would want to support a bunch of bimbos haha.

Milan's early 80's sponsor Pooh Jeans has to be the worst.
And Brighton's Nobo was always quite amusing when I was a kid.

Brighton (skint) v Barnet (loaded) a few seasons back

Brighton's last game with skint as a sponsor on Saturday - they'll be wearing a special edition shirt to say thanks to the company for their support over the last 9 years - that must be a first?
