The auction of Pelé’s personal collection became most lucrative sale of football memorabilia in history with the 2000 items totalling £3.6m including premium with 100% of the lots sold.

The vast collection of medals, trophies, awards, novelty items and personal property (there were even 15 of his old passports, one of which made £6000) was consigned by the three-time World Cup winner himself and had never been auctioned before. At the sale itself, the auctioneers reported bidding from around the globe as the event posted a string of exceptional prices. A top price of £320,000 came for a special replica of the Jules Rimet Trophy which was made for Pelé after the 1970 World Cup.

Awful, this is not retro at all, newcastle never had a red shirt in the eighties, and as for the problems, its red, its got the 80s badge on the kit and its got a black cat on the shirt. this is horrible

About as retro as my iPhone.

NO RED! sunderland!

That was when they were Newcastle East End or something. They also had white shorts and red socks, so the black on the shirt becomes irrelevant anyway. But then changing it to white makes it a Boro kit so really red's a non starter. You could have done an awesome yellow/green kit instead! :-)

Youre right, its not that bad, its actually worse. You did not take two parts of the clubs history to make the third kit, its just a really bad kit, and how could you not know about sunderland?

Yes, and we have had some great kits, the Marroon and blue hoops, the denim blue, the deep blue of 2002 when we beat sunderland at the last tyne wear classico at Roker park, and you come up with this?

This is as bad as your blue MK Dons kit. Stick to Blue or yellow/green

if it was blue and black or maybe blue and yellow it would be nice, but not red
