Football boot manufacturers are always looking for the ‘extra edge’ that will set their products apart from the rest. With speed in mind, Puma have teamed up with the big boys for their limited edition v1.815 Ferrari boot which was released today.

The high-tech v1.815, with its aerodynamic silhouette, pays homage to Ferrari racing cars and is designed to be one of the lightest and fastest boots on the market.

The Puma AptoLast sets ergonomic and aesthetic benchmarks for football footwear. It conforms to the foot’s natural curvatures and provides a glove-like fit that allows the upper to perfectly mold to the player’s foot.

If you think all of the above sounds impressive, then this could be the boot for you. But be warned, you’ll need a fair bit of cash and some luck. After being in development for over 2 years, the Puma v1.815 Ferrari football boots have retail price of around £250 and only 815 pairs are being made available worldwide from 27th March to coincide with the start of the 2009 Formula 1 Grand Prix season.

Great looking boots apart from the gay side laces. Everyone using these boots is guaranteed to have a metatarsal injury and a brain which is smaller than their bank balance!

I love them, would look alot better without the Ferrari badge. Hope Beats wears these, nice red to go with Stoke kit and he normally wears Puma Kings

I reckon Nike would have done a better job with the Ferrari name. Slap the Ferrari logo on a pair of candy-red Vapor 4s and make the swoosh Ferrari yellow and have the laces be black. Would have been a hell of a lot better, IMO. Puma make quality boots but in terms of design there\'s a lot left to be desired...

Definately not worth the £250 tag unless Puma are just trying to make this a collectors item.

They\'ve also done this with overpriced trainers, probably a contract they have with Ferrari...

:side: Coming soon... Hamilton Mercurials!!!!! :0

this boot has the same construction as puma v1.06. as opposed to one of the comments this material doesn\'t rip easily actually some would call it rip stop material.. but the problem is with time it looses its grip and touch.. but the upside it fits much better than nike\'s materials.

AQ: the 1.06 are notorious for coming apart at the seam (toe, where the top meets the sole - its the glue they use). they corrected this with the 1.08.
