The focal point of the Museum is the amazing Champions Collection of medals, caps, jerseys and memorabilia won by three of the Hammers greatest stars Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters, who helped England lift the World Cup in 1966. Included, of course, are the three World Cup winners medals. After more than seven years of planning, structuring and huge financial outlay towards the purchase of some of the most sought after items of footballing memorabilia, the West Ham United Museum opened its doors for the first time on Saturday, August 24, 2002.

Establishing a West Ham United Museum had been the dream of Chairman Terence Brown and his fellow Director, Charles Warner, since the Club's Centenary Year of 1995. It was during this time the Club made an appeal for donations to help make that dream a reality.

A NUCLEAR consultant is hoping to get money for old rope - and send it to a heart charity.

Now the safety consultant is hoping to raise thousands of pounds by trading an old piece of rope for prizes.

He is just four months into his trading and Mr Youngson has got his hand on a Xabi Alonso shirt from Liverpool Football Club.
