Millwall Football Club have announced that CYC will sponsor the 2008-2009 season's home and away shirt.

Millwall have been without a main sponsor since Oppida's two-year deal with the club expired last month and for next season the CYC logo will feature prominently on the front of Millwall's shirts.

Millwall's Commercial sales manager Mark Cole commented:

"I am particularly pleased that CYC have agreed to become our main sponsors because the directors are big Lions fans whom I have got to know over a number years.

As a company they have been keen supporters of the club for some time now and have decided to take their involvement with us to another level."

Nicky Hayes, a director of CYC added: "As a young progressive global brand, CYC are proud to be associated with Millwall Football Club.

The signing of this sponsorship deal for the forthcoming season is great news for both CYC and the club.

We at CYC wish Millwall Football Club every success for the forthcoming season both on and off the pitch and look forward to the start of a long and fruitful partnership."

Superstore manager Stephen Dickson contacted to thank the many loyal Linfield supporters who turned up at the launch of the new UMBRO away kit on Friday evening.

"It was a great evening with mini soccer, free food and an excellent fashion show involving Paul McAreavey, Michael Gault, Stephen Douglas, Glenn Ferguson and new goalkeeping signing Stuart Addis. David Jeffrey was also in attendance to do an interview with UMBRO's Philip Mitchell. The highlight of the most enjoyable evening was the involvement of the players in the fashion show. The show went down very well with the supporters in attendance. With a penalty shoot out and a disc jockey I was delighted with the very good turn out at the successful event. "

It is through these very personal connections that their relationship has evolved to the point where they approached Acorns about becoming a partner and appearing on the match day shirt.
