Atlético Madrid has a new sponsor. Paf, a Nordic gaming operator, has signed a sponsorship contract with the ‘rojiblanco’ organization, by virtue of which this prestigious Finnish company becomes the Club’s official on-line gaming sponsor.
As a new Atlético sponsor, the Paf trademark will appear both on the players’ shorts and on their training gear. The presentation of this agreement took place on August 29th, and was attended by Mr. Enrique Cerezo (President of Club Atlético de Madrid), Mr. Jannik Svahnseron (International Marketing Director of Paf) and Mr. Albin Tiusanen (Spanish Consultant to Paf).
Also, the first squad was represented by Maxi Rodríguez, who posed with the new shorts that the footballers will wear this season after the presentation.
Thanks to this collaborative agreement, which will last for three years, the launching of the brand and on-line gaming is included, and Paf will use the Club Atlético de Madrid image as an international communication platform to further strengthen awareness of it’s brand and their services.
On the other hand, during the first quarter of 2009, Paf will launch a tailor-made on-line gaming site for Atlético de Madrid’s fans around the world. On this gaming site, fans will be able to find, for example, the best odds on Atlético’s matches, as well as to win tickets and VIP packages and get exclusive information from players and managers.
Mr. Enrique Cerezo explained to begin that “Paf is a gaming operator and also operates gaming activities on a large number of cruise ships. They have proved that they are a great brand and committed to the world of sports, which they support in all of their aspects through sponsorship, in addition to their numerous and important ways of cooperating with society.”
For his part, Mr. Jannik Svahnseron (Paf International Marketing Manager) emphasized that “Paf is proud to become a new sponsor for Atlético de Madrid. This is an historic day for us, being able to team-up with one of the best clubs in Europe, which shares the same values as us. It is really a true honour for our company…”
Furthermore, he stated that “Paf is a gaming operator with a strong focus on internationalization, as we provide land-based, on-board and on-line gaming. We area a charity organization and last year we donated 20 million euros to charity, which makes us quite unique in the gaming industry, and proves that gaming can, in the end, be offered for good causes.”
Mr. Jannik Svahnseron considered that “with this deal, Paf will benefit from Atlético de Madrid’s image as an international communication platform to further strengthen awareness for Paf’s brand and our services,” informing that “during the first quarter of 2009 Paf will launch a tailor-made on-line gaming site for Atlético de Madrid’s fans around the world. On this gaming site, fans will be able to find the best odds for the team’s matches, win tickets and VIP packages, get exclusive information from players and managers and much more entertaining and fun content. A part of the money coming from gamers spending on this gaming site will also be distributed to local charity chosen by the Club itself.”
