middlesbrough sponsorMiddlesbrough are offering 'front of shirt' sponsorship packages on a unique monthly basis after turning down seasonal offers that did not meet the club's expectations.

Tailored For You… is the campaign message for Boro's innovative new 'front of shirt' sponsorship packages available throughout the 2010-11 season.

Boro are believed to be the first club in world football to offer access to its most high-profile rights package on a monthly basis.

This innovative approach will allow companies to promote themselves to target audiences directly during specific campaign periods.

Boro are also confident that it will bring fresh interest to the club from local, national and international companies who acknowledge the undoubted value of sports sponsorship but are reluctant to commit the financial sums required for seasonal sponsorship deals.

Chief Operating Officer Neil Bausor commented: "We have been fortunate at Middlesbrough Football Club to have attracted and worked with a fantastic array of successful, diverse and ambitious companies in our recent past.

"For some months now we have also been proactively engaged with numerous organisations for the club's front of shirt sponsorship rights from the start of the new season.

"Those conversations have ultimately not progressed to a satisfactory conclusion for us, and whilst it is important to recognise we are in a turbulent economic climate, I must also protect the best interests of the club commercially."

The Tailored For You… concept will allow companies to work with the club in creating a grant of sponsorship rights - including their logo appearing on Boro's home and away shirts - that are tailored exactly to their needs and will be made available over the 10 consecutive months of the football season (August 2010 - May 2011).

Matt Smith, Head of Commercial Partnerships, will lead the sales process for the new sponsorship package.

He said: "We're all genuinely excited in taking this new approach to the market. Sponsorship in football is long established now but this will definitely offer something different.

"It is easy for companies to recognise the immediate value this package can bring from a brand awareness position but what we are really keen to develop is the bespoke aspect.

"For the first time we'll offer an exclusive group of companies an opportunity to become an integral part of the club; we'll get them close to the action, the players and all the excitement that football offers.

"This is a chance to play a high-profile part in Boro's history by being involved in the club's forthcoming promotion push."

Boro anticipate such an exciting opportunity will draw a significant interest and asks that all interested parties contact the club's commercial team on 0844 499 6789.

Thanks to James

When somebody try to advance a kit for olympic UK, there's always somebody else ready to sink it with bad language..
I know how British countries are proud of their football independence, however it would be sad not seeing a British team at LONDON's oympic football tournament! Either England, Wales, Scotland and N. Ireland play a mini tournament and winner will represent UK at olympics, or they put together a (very strong!) team and they need a shirt. I think everybody can criticize these ideas with proper language, and rate this shirt (or ignore it) as it is. Am I wrong?

In my opinion, an EVENTUAL Great Britain kit should use same colors of rugby Lions, who represent whole Great Britain without giving problem to anyone. So, red shirt, white shorts, blue socks with green edge. Away kit could be made with a color completely unrelated with that 4 countries and most famous opponents (black, for example)

first of all; it's not united kingdom, it's great britain! :
secondly, there's not going to be a great britain team! - just england!
because then "wee" countries like us (northern ireland) and the rest of GB's countries have no independance!
i know this is politics now but ireland should not be a part of GB!
same with scotland and wales if you go back hundreds of years!
to think of it...there shouldn't be a GB at all!

I agree, as far as I am concerned, there is no country called Great Britain, I am not British, I am English, and England should be an Independant country, not part of an Untied Kingdom.

No Great Britain team for 2012, Not for football, not for athletics, not anything, No to Great Britain, Yes to England/Alba/Cymru/Northern Ireland (tick as appropriate)

Agreed Erry, I will create a red kit, as you sugest.

I searched for the kit worn by the United Kingdom's Olympic Football Team during the earliest olympics, but found nothing.
