Shamrock Rovers To Announce Warrior Football Kit Deal

alt

Shamrock Rovers, the League of Ireland's most successful team, are to announce a kit deal with the US manufacturer Warrior Sports.

The deal, which will see Warrior supply Rovers with kit for at least four years, including the upcoming 2014-15 season, will see a launch of a new shirt in the next few days.  Shamrock Rovers have announced the temporary closure of their clubshop to allow the fitting of Warrior displays and delivery of the new Warrior-branded green and white hooped stock for the weekend.

The announcement of Warrior Sports' first foray onto the Emerald Isle coincides, coincidentally, with a speculative just-for-fun competition on DesignFootball.com, ending this weekend, wondering what a Republic of Ireland kit made by Warrior Sports would look like.

Yeah, me. Some of the Liverpool away/3rd kits have been horrendous but the home ones and the Sevilla kit are nice. At least they're trying something different, unlike the boring repetitive crap from nike and adidas

I guess this REALLY means that Umbro is finished.

Is there any way to know what the business plan, if there is one, of Umbro/Iconix is for the future of the brand?

If Shamrock Rovers and the FAI turn Warrior. Then I guess all the local clubs and league clubs may follow. It will be interesting to have a change from boring Umbro. I know that the 13/14 Warrior kits are crap and I hope they learnt their lesson. Last seasons liverpool kits weren't so bad.

WARRIOR WILL BE SO POPULAR IN IRELAND. IT IS ALREADY POPULAR SINCE IT MAKES LIVERPOOL. BUT I GUESS THERE WILL BE A BIG DEMAND FOR THE NEW FAI AND SHAMROCK ROVERS KITS. AND A LOT OF IRISH PEOPLE WILL BE BUYING WARRIOR STUFF.
