Sheffield-United-adidas-kit-deal

As reported on local news outlet TheStar.co.uk, English league side Sheffield United are shortly to announce a new technical sponsorship deal with the German manufacturer adidas.

The Blades' teaming up with adidas will see the Yorkshire club being provided with match and replica kit, as well as training wear and leisurewear, as part of the kit deal.

Bringing to an end a partnership with the Italian brand Macron, this year's FA Cup semi-finalists will carry the famous three stripes from the 2014-15 season onwards.

Is adidas trying to monopolise the red and white stripes market?
Stoke, Sunderland, Brentford, Southampton (traditionally if not currently). Just Exeter and Cheltenham left to complete the set.

Actually, I'd love to see Cheltenham have a decent-looking, wearable kit for the first time ever. Wouldn't mind if they went to Adidas.

Does this guy really exist? If so he has spent NO money at all on Utd. Methinks he will turn out to be another one of Sheffields many white elephants. Hope I'm wrong but........

the spent quite a lot of money actually in league 1 terms, but Financial fair play regulations in L1 means he cant flash the cash as you can only 65% of last yrs income (newly relegated sides are exempt though)

baxter 350k, harris & scougall 150k upto 400k also brayford, coady on loan plus he spending about £1m this post season on improving the pitch & getting a hybrid surface like wembley

Nice, haven't been awfully fond of Macron's designs in the past few years. Hopefully Adidas can hit the nail on the head from the get go and have a straight up Blades kit.
