Watford burrdaIn a double move Watford Football Club has today (Thursday) announced Swiss International sportswear manufacturer BURRDA as its new official Club Sponsor and Kit Supplier.

The two year deal will see BURRDA supply home and away kits each season, plus an exclusive range of branded training wear. As new Club Sponsor the BURRDA identity will also feature on the Club's branding assets including areas within Vicarage Road stadium, the official website, tickets and matchday programme.

The new home kit design will be unveiled on 1 June on the club website and will be available to pre-order immediately with delivery in early July. Season Ticket holders will also receive an exclusive discount when making their purchase during the pre-order period.

The contract with Watford is BURRDA's second UK football deal after recently signing up Premier League side Wolves. It already boasts an impressive portfolio of international sports clubs and in the Middle East it currently provides kits for the Kuwait and Qatar national teams.

Graham Taylor, Watford's Chairman, said: "Today's announcement marks the start of a partnership which we're sure will add genuine value to the Club and for our fans far beyond just its monetary worth.

"We've built a very strong relationship with BURRDA over the last few months and are genuinely excited by their plans to quickly become a major global kit supplier.

"They have a very clear vision and by investing in Watford as Official Club Sponsor, on top of the kit supply agreement, we are not only pleased to be working with them at the start of their journey, but will be doing all we can to help develop their brand for the duration of our relationship which we hope will be a long and prosperous one."

BURRDA's General Manager, Charles Diab, added: "Next season is our first in the UK football market and it was vital for us to launch with the right kind of partner and Watford FC is just that.

"It genuinely is a Club at the heart of its community and the outstanding work it does with young talent at The Harefield Academy really caught our eye. This makes it stand out as a progressive Club ready to challenge in its field, which is exactly how we see ourselves too.

"There's exciting times ahead for Watford and we can't wait to be involved. The opportunity to become the main Club Sponsor and kit manufacturer enables us to help them move forward with their plans to be a top 30 Club aspiring for a return to the Premier League."

This is the latest move in BURRDA's aim of becoming a leading sports brand by challenging established concepts and designs to create new and exciting performance sportswear. It is committed to supplying products of the highest quality and using the latest fabric technology in all its range of products.

Wow it seems like Burrda are expanding.
Totally don't know what to expect of the Watford kits, but I hope that they'll be good of course.
Burrda did a decent job with the Wolves kits and I've noticed that their designs are very clean and simple.
I expect that it will be a step forward when compared to Joma.

Better than Joma, but having seen the Wolves kits they're a bit plain for my liking - would be nice to see some innovative designs to show they can be more than just a little company making 2/3 kits a season. Looking forward to it!
