These Internazionale - Inter Milan - concept designs are the work of sportswear and graphic designer Emre Gultekin. Following on from a previous Inter range we featured, the kits and apparel here are influenced by the city of Milan/Milano, and the history of the club.

More specifically, the “Nike Proposal Project”, which is dated as being from June 2016, features a Nerazzurri Home kit which nods to the world famous “Duomo di Milano” cathedral via the classic black and blue shirt’s stripes. The stained glass of the cathedral is referenced with a sublimated watermark pattern which also brings to mind the “wireframe” look on the new Canada Home shirt.

Nike revealed the new Portland Thorns FC 2020 Away football shirt.

While on the road, the club's white jersey carries thorn graphics that pull the spirit of the home fans through as metaphorical body armor. The kit also includes the marker "B.A.O.N." printed on the inner neck, referencing fans' favored literary phrase, "By Any Other Name."

Nike revealed the new Portland Thorns FC 2020 Home football shirt.

The Thorns FC have one of the biggest fan bases in the league, and the 2020-21 home jerseys feature stylized dark roses as homage to the city the team plays for. The kit also includes the marker "B.A.O.N." printed on the inner neck, referencing fans' favored literary phrase, "By Any Other Name."

The new Plymouth Argyle 2020-2021 home kit was built with the clubs DNA, ROOTS & TRADITION in mind, featuring the iconic Pineneedle Green base colour with contrast Puma Black panelling & collar.

The new design, which is modelled by the Pilgrim trio of Joe Edwards, Byron Moore and Dom Telford, sees Argyle return to the combination of green shirts and black shorts, with a black PUMA Formstripe trim around the shoulders and sleeves. The kit is completed by white socks, and additional features include a shaped Henley collar and a single placket button.

Many football kits are rendered iconic by way of their Umbro, adidas or, more recently, Nike stylings. The Middlesbrough FC design worn in the 1988-89 and 1989-90 seasons is not one such example.

The “Skill” design - that’s what the “i” stood for, obviously (!) - featured chest striping probably influenced by a similar approach by The Brand With The 3 Stripes, but it remained distinctive in its time, sitting atop the Heritage Hampers sponsorship logo.

Northampton Town announced that hummel will be the club's new Technical Partner from the start of the 2020/21 season.

These adidas catalogue pages from 1976 are a confusing affair, as one alternates between laughing at how dated items look - understandably - bemoaning others’ unavailability in 2020, and wondering how the German giants could have been so ahead of their time 44 years ago.

The rugby jersey, the rainsuits and the men’s athletic vest are easily timeless enough to be fantasised over, and whilst the leisure suits scream the 70s, the navy and green vertical stripes t-shirt and the allover print example - in 1976! - can only be placed in sportswear history through their coupling with potential guilty pleasure shorts.

Scunthorpe United announced that Italian sportswear company Macron will become the club’s new Technical Kit Partner from June 1st for an initial three-year period.

Macron will manufacture and supply the Iron’s home, away, third and training kits at both senior and junior levels.
