Up for auction : England World Cup 1966 Match Worn Nobby Stiles Shirt
The seller added the following: Very rare, once in a lifetime opportunity, never before featured on ebay ! A glorious match worn No 4 Nobby Stiles white home shirt from the successful 1966 World Cup campaign. Authenticity is in the pictures. The correct light blue/greyish England badge, the orange Umbro Choice of Champions label along with the medium sized tag as well as the printed Umbro label as featured on the front of the shirt. The shirt was given by Stiles himself to a Daily Mirror photographer who was assigned to the England team for the duration of the tournament.
The shirt has been authenticated by Sothebys as match worn.
The actual game cannot be confirmed, however, is obviously one of those leading up to the Final. Either Uruguay, France or Mexico in the group stages, Argentina in the 1/4 final or Portugal in the 1/2 final.
