Football Memorabilia auction at Bonhams

A collection of rare football shirts is set to go under the hammer at Bonhams auction house in Chester on June 17th. See all items up for auction here. (search - shirt)

Johnny Haynes match worn kit - 1958 England v Scotland (pic above)

Umbro white short sleeved shirt embroidered with England badge to front and red number 10 to rear, together with a pair of blue velvet shorts. Lot includes a programme from the same fixture.

Alan Ball match worn England shirt

Admiral England number 7 home shirt worn by Alan Ball during the game against Wales at Wembley in May 1975 which ended in a 2-2 draw. Alan Ball exchanged shirts with Wales player Arfon Griffiths in the tunnel. With the shirt is a signed confirmation from Arfon Griffiths MBE who later donated the shirt to a charity auction.

1959 Brazil Didi match worn shirt

Cheppo yellow short sleeved shirt with green collar and sleeve trim, embroidered with Brazil badge to front. Framed and glazed. Lot includes a framed certificate of authenticity hand signed by Peter Broadbent stating 'This shirt was worn by Didi playing at number 8 for Brazil v England at Rio De Janieiro Brazil on Wednesday 13th May 1959. At the end of the match I exchanged my England shirt with DIDI who played in the number 8 shirt for Brazil, and this is the shirt. Lot includes a 1958 Brazil pennant - originally the property of Peter Broadbent.
