This is the new Nike Ordem football which is available here.

Coloured yellow, orange, black and green, the ball features "Fuse-Welded" panels, NIKE AEROW TRAC grooves for aerodynamics and Nike RaDaR technology to aid visibility.

Creative Football T-Shirts at Footytees.com - Featuring prints by a range of talented artists

The ball consists of 12 fuse-welded panels in a 3-layer casing system, and a poly-blend wrapped, free-floating carbon latex bladder, with debossed NIKE AEROW TRAC grooves on the surface.  These grooves are engineered to grip and channel the air to improve trajectory and consistent flight, helping stability and accuaracy in mid-air.

The graphic pattern - Nike’s RaDaR (Rapid Decision and Response) technology - creates a flickering effect as the ball rotates making it easier to see in a player’s peripheral vision and allowing for faster reactions and decision-making.

The ball is seen in a new advert starring Wayne Rooney (with Rory McIlroy) playing football golf, 'Straight Down The Middle',  and will be used by all Nike-sponsored Federations (including the ten World Cup qualifiers) in international friendly games from early 2014.

Lot better than that awful pink version that's being used in the FA Cup this season. I would have the thought England should be using the World Cup ball instead; they need all the help they can get.

What's wrong with a standard 32 panel ball in white? All these 'fuse welded' panels, grooves and graphics make no difference to the ball's performance. It's all a case of smoke and mirrors. Resist, people, resist!

So what if you don't like it. This ball is designed for use by proffesional footballers who demand the best equipment. You are just asking for attention stating that somehow a 32-Panel ball is better than something that has had weeks of development time.

It's the professional footballers that say these new balls are rubbish. Except those who are sponsored by the brand in question. Then they'd say bird muck is brilliant if it had a logo on it!
