Running a team is hard work. You've got countless players and a season of fixtures to manage.

There are players who can't find the pitch (let alone their touch), players you've never seen before, latecomers, last-minute no-shows, holidays. And a world of pain.

Take the hassle out of organising football by managing your fixtures and teams online with Nike Playmaker.

Start by creating a fixture, finding a pitch with Google Maps and inviting the team. Playmaker automatically invites your players by text or email. No more endless email chains or unreturned calls.

Teammates reply via text or email and your fixture is automatically updated so you can see who's playing.

And if you need to change any details, Playmaker sends the whole team a message.

Playmaker keeps all your players' contact details in one place.

So you can add individual email addresses or import groups of contacts from a single page.

Join Nike Playmaker and manage your team from one online clubhouse.

I\'ve heard several people harping on about Playmaker & I\'m afraid its not really hitting the mark for me. I\'ve seen the viral floating about on the web, and it is quality (nice one Ritchie). However, in practice it isn\'t as good as another app I\'ve come across recently called Teambug.

Its similar to PLaymaker in the sense that it lets you set up a team, plan fixtures (its integrated with multimap as opposed to Google Maps) & send out emails/SMS alerts.

However, with Teambug you get your own team web site (I\'ve personalised mine with team colours) and you can create player profiles adding their mug shots and the like. Also, there\'s an interactive pitch where you can drag and drop your player profiles to build your ideal match team - letting you easily sort out your winning formation.

The address is www.teambug.com so go and see if you think I\'m right or not.

Hey - thanks for the tip. I used playmaker and to be honest I agree. Great advert but the product lacks a bit. Will check out teambug.com. Thanks

Well, I\'ve just looked at this new site called sportismo and it looks like it\'s actually a bit more fun and less \'dry\' than these other sites.
