Arsenal Football Club has opened its new shop - The Arsenal Store, St Albans - to coincide with the Club’s home kit launch for the 2008/09 season. Located at Unit 31, The Maltings Shopping Centre, St Albans, the store will sell a wide range of Arsenal merchandise across 1,285 square feet.
The grand opening coincided with the launch of Arsenal's new home kit and was graced by a very special guest, Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky. He officially opened the store and went inside to sign merchandise for customers.
Adrian Ford, Arsenal’s commercial director said of the new store: "We have thousands of recognised supporters in the St Albans area, and it is a huge step forward for us to make official Club merchandise available through a local store.
"A wide range of Club merchandise will be available, along with Club memberships once the store is up and running. We look forward to seeing people there on launch day and hope it will be a great success."
The St Albans site joins the Club’s existing shops at Emirates Stadium, where the Gunners’ flagship store, The Armoury, is located, together with Arsenal World of Sport, located at Finsbury Park, and overseas sites in Bangkok and Phuket, Thailand.
The Arsenal Store — St Albans will be open Monday to Saturday 9.30am — 5.30pm and Sundays 11am-5pm. Full address: Unit 31, The Maltings Shopping Centre, St Albans.
