Whilst I appreciate the significane of the kit, it would be better as an away. Soton ar red and white stripes to me, end of haha.
I do agree with Julian here, this would look good as away kit but I like the stripe design better, that is more of a Southampton kit for me, but what do I know.
Southampton have not always played in stripes, but the current kits are pretty weak. I did do this a while ago, and I was going to post the striped version I made at the same time, but it was pretty weak looking back, so I left it.
Lots of teams play in red and white stripes, but not that many play in white with a red sash, and this combination (white shirt with sash, white shorts and black socks) is Unique to Soton, as far as I know.
Il do a striped home.
with this style collar, the left side should be on top of the right side for a male shirt
My mistake
I did do this one a few months ago, and to be honest, I wish I made a crew neck version of this, I was using that collar on most of my kits, and probably got it wrong for most of them, youre the first person to spot it.
Cheers, Ill make note of it in future.
ha it's something i only discovered after staring at a girls chest... on closer inspection i noticed her buttons were the opposite side to my shirt, after a bit of research i found out that it's always left over right for male clothing (collars, buttons, robes etc) and vice versa for females
Just a friendly comment. The first kit Southampton used was in these colors, or from 1885-89.
Since 1896 they have played in striped red and white kit with blue shorts to start with but in 1950 they changed to black shorts and that is how their kit has been part from 2010 when they played in kit much like the one you have made here. Personally I don't like their kit to day, it has lost all that Southampton touch and tradition.

Rabbi@ I agree totally, Ill have another go at this kit sometime, and a Striped Soton shirt or two.
