Puma Unity King XL

Following up from their ground breaking Africa Unity Shirt, Puma have released a striking pair of football boots on the same initiative!

The Puma Unity King XL is the pinnacle of Puma’s Unity initiative, which will be available through the FSC Shop. Striving for a continent-wide feeling of harmony across Africa through love of football, Puma are doing their bit to show that Africa is ready to host the World Cup with open arms, as well as supporting the Play for Life campaign and the UN’s Year of Biodiversity.

Puma will use a percentage of the proceeds from the Puma Unity King XL  to fund its Soul of Africa program. In this program, PUMA will buy African-made soccer balls to create local jobs, then will distribute these balls to schools in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and South Africa.

The contrasting detail stitching, coloured studs and soleplate give the whole boot a sort of understated fun feel, and represent the unity of these bold colours working in harmony.

Love the idea but they're not exactly the prettiest things going around.

They are ok. The stitching will be hard to see during gameplay as well as the green trim on the soleplate so they will not look as much like clown shoes on the pitch on tv as they do in these close up shots.

I think that non-black football boots should be banned.

"Understated"? Do they even know what that means? Throwing a bucket of coloured stitching at a pair of Puma Kings is not understatement!

Well done on the charity front n all that, but I look at them and see clown shoes. But what do I know? Not a designer after all...

Nice to see black boots making a small comeback. Way nicer than the stupid white boots that have been pimpin around for the last ten years.

they're growing on me. I want a pair cause they're a nice pair of black boot from far away and then closer theres abit more to them. It has a subtle edge to them.
i do wonder what the 'percentage' going to them is. but it all helps!
