Motherwell FC 125th Anniversary Puma Home Shirt

This is the new Motherwell FC shirt to celebrate their 125th year established as a football club.

We have designed, along with Puma and some special assistance from a lifelong 'Well fan William Kay, a retro shirt in the classic Motherwell style.

This shirt is made from modern heavy knit polyester fabric and incorporates a replica of the first MFC script badge to be used ion the Motherwell shirt. Using his design skills and knowledge of Motherwell kits through the ages William has incorporated a little of the detail of our special anniversary whilst not detracting from the traditional script badge. The band on the Motherwell shirt is the most recognised feature on our shirts over the years and it was essential that we maintain that particular tradition.

Thanks to Vigilante

A really successful Anniversary shirt. Especially the subtle Puma logo like it a lot.

Just a quick note about the shirt...
This is not the new home kit but a Puma retro replica to celebrate our 125th Anniversary.

Cheers

Thanks for letting me know, I was a little confused whether this might be a one match special type of thing or something.

Editted accordingly.

No, it’s purely a retro replica to celebrate 125 Year.

A really beautiful top, congrats to Puma for the subtle branding. The retro Motherwell logo is also very classy. Really WELL done! Just a shame it’s not the home top for next season.

Thankfully this scenario won’t happen as it’s a retro replica, and will not be worn in match play.

I am aware this comment will get a host of dislikes.

But in my opinion, I really don't like retro or plain kits. Fair enough this is just an anniversary kit, but kits like the Umbro tailored kits, I find, personally very boring. Maybe it's cause I'm young, but I love modern kits.

So many people are jumping on the retro bandwagon, they are just so boring like the England 2009/10 Home Shirt.

This is just my opinion, please try and respect it, cause I don't go around, disliking everyone's comment that likes this shirt.

Very honest and respectful comment there Tomasz, i personally respect your opinion as this is a forum site afterall (: But i have to say seeing the "retro, simplicity designs" is a sigh of relief for me...and im 1i8 years old. I was starting to get very annoyed with some stupid and so called "modern" designs by some kit suppliers...personally for me simplicity=top notch design and style (:

Ive always liked the colours and traditions of Motherwell...and this is just outstanding, i really hope a sponser doesnt ruin this wonderful work of simplictic design.

as many of you have mentioned, i applaud puma for focusing more on the club and not their own brand. that was the first thing i noticed when i saw the kit. kudos puma!

This would be truly awesome if it was the actual kit but alas. It would be ruined by a stupid sponsor anyway.
