Many companies have turned to past releases from many ages ago for inspiration of present models including Puma who will be re-releasing the original Roma 68.
The white / team royal colorway was the first ROMA introduced to the market. Constructed with a clean leather upper, soft suede formstripe and also features the original PUMA gold sticker of authenticity from 1968 located on the sockliner.
The other 3 colorways are a more direct tribute to the Italia 68 football team. All shoes feature the Italia blue football jersey material on the lining referencing Italy’s 2 World Cup victories at the time. A one time only drop in the original spec from 1968..The Roma, much like many styles release during the 60’s and 70’s continues to stand the test of time. A terrace favourite back then, Puma pay tribute with this release to the Roma fans and Azzuri European Champions of 1968.
Launched in 1968, the Roma was released as an all round training shoe. This LE edition is a 1-1 re-issue back in its original spec and colour-way. The upper is a clean silhouette of white team royal in a plush leather with super soft suede overlays. Subtle attention to detail appears with the addition of old school cotton laces as well as the original Puma gold sticker of authenticity in the sockliner.
