I just checked the NUFC Direct website and the third kit is back to being the grey one at over 50% off. You did well spotting that because it can't have been on there for very long!

Aye. I checked too straight away, couldnt see it, just the silver one. Some of the new training gear looks good though

Well no suprises we got the worst template that adidas released this year. the shirt looks horrible and why the Black shirt, Black shorts and blue socks? Nice one, an away kit that clashes with the home. So we have an owner that is running the club into the ground, and an ugly third kit. life for the Toon gets worse.

Why cant we just have a nice yellow away shirt?

Because your in the championship and Championship teams dont deserve the colours they want

So what has Newcastle got to do with you? I bet we get higher attendances at our league games than NZ get for their international games.....

And to shoot you argument to pieces, do you honestly think that lower league clubs have NO say in the colours they wear and that the templates, designs and colours are inflicted on them by kit manufacturers?

& for the record, I think the training gear template - which I imagine will be similar to the away kit template, is shocking..... But then the Ashley regime is intent on making us look bad off the pitch so they may as well may us look cr@p on it.....

By default basically, against the minnows of world football, and becasue Australia are not allowed to take part anymore. If the Oceanian confed was incorporated entirely into the Asian section, then the all whites would be nowhere near the world cup.

and on the kits, I mean we got a really good shirt for the home, its got the same fabric patten on the stripes as the classic 1995-97 kit, so adidas have given us a really good home, but I think that the away might be a whole lot worse. anyway, I can like without the away kit

MW, I totally agree about the home kit. I think it looks smart - from the front at least! The only thing I don't like is the NUFC crest in the middle - that riles me on every top! The material is also really nice and I like the job adidas have been doing with how they apply the sponsor logo on the past couple of shirts.

But I'm not keen on the big white patch on the back - it just doesn't look right without a name/number. I'd much prefer it to be just the stripes.

Our away templates the past couple of years have been shockingly bad - with the exception of last seasons purple & silver outfits which were quite smart. So has the training kit. I just don't get how adidas can put out such scruffy, half-arsed kit.

One question though: how come we wore the new home kit in our last home game v Fulham, but then wore the old one for the last game of the season away to Villa? I could maybe understand if we had changed sponsor or something, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

Any chance of getting that picture a bit bigger?
