Football Shirt Culture.com

I recently ordered a couple of WC Shirts both Name & Numbered ( Essien Ghana & German Ballack ) & i noticed that both different Shirts had different Font's it looks like to me & also the numbering on each Shirt is very different..

Any ideas if that is because of the different Brands have their own Fonts they use & can anyone point me in the direction of if indeed i am right in thinking this & any further information on what Font is used & why etc ??

Ghana use Puma, Germany use Adidas, Adidas use one type of font, Puma use another, Nike use another, etc
