i just downloaded the free 30 day trial of photoshop but it dosnt seem to work so are there any other free programmes anyone can reccomend?

Bit strange your PS isn't working, should be if it's a trial.

There's a free program called GIMP. Never used it myself, but have heard it's basically and open source version of Photoshop...try it www.gimp.org/
