Shirt Badge/CLub Logo Design 3 Years, 1 Month ago
Hi there,

I am on the committee of a youth football club, which is linked in with a Mens Football Team. The team name is March Rangers, and we are based in Fenland, Cambs. Our website is www.marchrangers.co.uk

We are looking to bring the Youth and Adult sections closer together, and neither section has a club badge. Our only previous logo have been the ones that you get as a template from when you order from the likes of Adidas/Prostar/Pendle etc. All lack originality.

March as a Town is not that exciting, as a google search of potential images shows... images.google.co.uk/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=march+cambridgeshire&sa=N&start=0&ndsp=20

The only thing that stands out is the war memorial (soldier) and a picture of the town hall.

If anyone is able and willing to use their flair to help create something, then it would be appreciated. Our shirt colours tend to be blue (sky blue, royal blue).

There is no monetary reward, but if your design is suitable then it would appear on shirts and other club items. My team (under 8's) need a new kit for next season, so it would appear on that.

I have looked through the kits posted on this site, and there is cetainly a lot of ability.

Kind Regards,

Teilo

Dear Teilo,

that sounds quite interesting. I'am a Grafic Designer from Cologne in Germany. I love football and all the nice English football chrests/logos.

It would be a pleasure to create a logo for your football club. Do you have some closer details about your club. That could help me to design a logo.

Questions:
1. What is the foundation year of the club?
2. In which league do you play (or the club)?
3. Do you know if the city of March have an own chrest?
4. What is a special sign for march?

I would like to help you.

Kind regards

Martin

Hi Martin,

Thankyou for your reply. The youth section has only been going for about 4-5 years whereas the mens team was established in the 70's. With that I don't think a year of formation can be included in the badge.

The Mens Team plays in the Cambridgeshire Mens League, the junior and girls team play either in the Cambridgeshire or Fenland Leagues.

March is a Market Town in Fenland which is known for its flat open landscapes, farming, its waterways and er, that is about it!

There are no special signs for March that I am aware of...

If you need any more information then let me know.

The only nickname the club has is 'Rangers'. Not exactly exciting!

Dear teilo,

thanks for your reply.

I have one question again: the logo will be used by all of your teams (men, youth and girls)?

Do you know the exact foundation year of your club. Why not include it in the logo. You could be proud of every year of your club.

Kind regards
