It was to do with the Irish Famine. Really it shouldn't be on the jersey as they get upset when the are told "To go home" yet are happy to promote such propaganda!!!

i heard it was suppose to the first "national famine memorial day" that sunday, well thats what a tattie muncher at work told me and he was at the game, but im not 100% on that!
