Hi there

I recently bought a Man City home shirt from 2007 (Le Coq Sportif with white pin stripes - Thomas Cook sponsor)

It features PETROV + 15 omn the back in official EPL lettering and numbering (raised felt)

Now I 've seen most shirts of this kind with dark blue lettering and numbering but this is in black.

I vaguely remember seeing Mpenza and Bianchi playing in this shirt with black letters and numbers but could have imagined it.

Has anyone seen this shirt worn with black lettering or has someone at the shop made a mistake?

Any answers/help greatly appreciated.

well i have looked on google and from classic football shirts.com all the shirts have blue printing on eg www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/catalog/product/view/id/32958/s/2007-08-manchester-city-home-shirt-dunne-22-w-tags-l/category/991/

Im sure that i remember them only wearing the blue printing but could be wrong
But i suppose the colour dosnt matter much anyway M8

I've looked high and low for black lettering. As you say it doesn't really matter does it?

It matters depending on what you want it for i think
you can actually remove the letters but might damage shirt
If you sucsessfully remove the lettering then u can go into a shop eg jjb instore and ask for black lettering and they will put it on i think But i dont think many people will notice the difference i wudnt of remembered if u reminded me lol

Cheers mate. I think I'll leave them on - I've seen disasters occur on other shirts when trying to remove them.
