SAINTS UNVEIL STRIPS FOR SPL CAMPAIGN

The new home and away kits for the SPL campaign were launched at McDiarmid Park at lunchtime today and the club are delighted to announce an agreement for shirt sponsorships for the 2009/2010 season.

Taylor Wimpey (formerly George Wimpey) has agreed to continue their association for a further year with their logo displayed on the front of the first and second choice jerseys whilst local company, Easy Heat Systems Ltd, will have their logo displayed on the reverse of their jerseys.

Commenting on the agreements, Chairman Geoff Brown said “I am delighted that Taylor Wimpey has extended its’ relationship with the Club in what is such a high profile year for us. Taylor Wimpey has been involved with St Johnstone FC for a number of years and we are pleased to continue the association. In addition, I am delighted that Easy Heat Systems has chosen to enhance their support of the Club by way of this sponsorship and it is extremely encouraging to receive such good support from a local company.”

Commenting on the new deal with the Club, Andy Wyles, Divisional Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey in Scotland said: “We’re more than happy to extend our agreement for a further season with St Johnstone FC, and would like to congratulate everyone involved on a very successful year for the Club so far. Clearly this is an important year in the club’s history, and we wish them every success in their efforts in the SPL this year.

“Our association with St Johnstone FC and our renewed commitment for a further year allows Taylor Wimpey to play a part within the local community in Perthshire, whilst also raising the profile of the new Taylor Wimpey brand.”

Darren McDermott, Managing Director of Easy Heat systems, enthused “I am delighted to be associated with St Johnstone in this official way. As a company we have long supported the club and I believe the football club adds considerably to the feel good factor in the community and the reputation of the City of Perth. All of us at Easy Heat Systems are proud to be part of the success of St Johnstone and wish them well in the season ahead.”

The first choice strip is predominantly a traditional royal blue colour but with gold flash

While the Second choice strip is predominantly maroon – an acknowledgment of the club’s first playing colours in this, our 125th anniversary season.

Both jerseys feature the 125th anniversary crest.

The replica home kit is available to order NOW via the Surridge Sport on-line shopping facility and will be officially launched at this Sunday’s Fanfest event at the stadium.
