Past England Shirt re-releases 3 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help me. I recently purchased a 1986 England shirt from ebay. Due to my own stupidity I didn't read the description properly, I just entered my maximum bid and left it at that.

Anyway to cut a long story short, I won the bid, paid for the item and took delivery of the shirt. It was only after I'd paid for the shirt I re-read the ebay auction and noticed the seller had stated that the shirt is not an original release but is infact part of a re-release of the most popular past England shirts by Umbro.

Can anyone confirm that Umbro have infact re-released any England shirts from the past ? I have a feeling I may have been had as the material doesn't feel particularly good quality, also the sleeves don't have the same navy blue cuffs as the original shirts did.

Thanks in advance.

Hi I think it should be okay , if you go to thefa.com in the shop they have lots of england shirts that have been reproduced. I have a few and seem to be just like the originals.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I've just checked out the shirts on the FA website. The '86 shirt I've bought does look the same as that shown on the FA's site. From the picture shown the material also looks very thin, as is the case with the shirt I've bought.

Thanks again.
