maybe somebody could help me. I have one question which deals with an ADMIRAL Tottenham Hotspur shirt of the season 1978 (white big collar, navy blue line with admiral logo down the sleeves).

I’m trying to find pictures of the official numbers which the players were wearing in the year 1978. Do you have pictures of the backside of this shirt. It would be great if you could help me to find pictures of this shirt. Do you know if the numbers were sewn on or ironed on the shirt?

Onother question is connected to Ricardo Villa who played in this shirt during his spell at the White Hart Lane. Could you please tell me the official shirt number, which Ricardo Villa had worn on this ADMIRAL shirt.

The numbers were sewn on. They were a plain navy blue cloth.

Here's a link to a 79 season game on you tube, you get a few good views of the numbers. They are the same style that England wore at the time.





In case you missed it on the Ricky VIlla stats site, it says that VIlla wore every outfield number except number 2, remember this was the time before squad numbers. He wore no.5 in the FA Cup Final replay v Man City
