I have got for sale a shirt that was either issued to or worn by Steven Gerrard in the Champions League in the 2000-2001 or 2001-2002 seasons. It is the red Champions League kit that Liverpool wore for those two seasons and has all the correct features. There is no 'Hydromove' tag on the sleeve; there is no size information in the neck area; the lettering and numbering on the back are made from flock and are the correct sizes.
I purchased the shirt only a few weeks ago but it was an impulse buy and it is not something I particularly want now. It was bought from an English couple who live and run a bar in Spain. They know someone associated with Liverpool FC who occasionally sends them stuff to display in their bar. This shirt was sent to them and they kept it in a frame for several years before selling it to me. There are no known game details.
There is a signiture on the front of the shirt which to me does not look right. Therefore, I am not selling it as a 'signed Gerrard match shirt' - simply as a 'Gerrard match shirt' as the shirt is an authentic match shirt. The asking price reflects this - it would be worth about £200 more without this blemish!
