Kit Design Competition - Stafford Rangers

E-mail

stafford-rangers-kit-design-contest-2.jpg

So, long overdue, DesignFootball.com has its second kit design competition. This time with a twist. The English football team Stafford Rangers have asked us to submit designs for consideration for their 2009/10 home and away kits.

The club are already viewing designs from manufacturers but are keen to see what DesignFootball.com members can come up with. If both Stafford Rangers and their chosen manufacturer decide that a design from DF is the most suitable then it will be produced for the playing squad and fans. Should this be the case then the successful designer(s) will receive an example of their shirt as a prize.

We would advise that those looking to enter who are less aware of the club's history should visit the official website to familiarise themselves and gain the best possible chance of tuning into the requirements. The club is seeking professional and contemporary outfits in keeping with their ambitions of once again reaching the heights of their past FA Trophy and FA Cup successes. Maybe the next Stan Collymore could even wear a strip created by a DF designer.

If you wish to enter this competition please read and follow the specifications outlined below. Stafford Rangers Football Club require:

1 - A home strip - black and white striped shirt with black shorts and socks.

2 - An away strip - a shade of blue is preferable but the club is open-minded. No stripes or hoops due to league rules on change strips (common sense at last!).

3 - The sponsor Stan Robinson can be included but is not vital as the style of its appearance will eventually be subject to contractual terms.

4 - If possible please create full, detailed kit designs including front and rear of shirt and shorts and socks.

5- Absolutely no use whatsoever of templates/features/logos that can be considered the intellectual property of another designer or manufacturer. Any designs that plagiarise in this manner will be disqualified.

All designs should be uploaded in the gallery's competition section by 23:00 BST Thursday 14th May 2009 preferably in jpeg format. There are no limits on number of entries so please feel free to upload as many home and/or away kits as you like (within reason. Spamming will obviously not be tolerated).

If you need a starting point for whichever design application you use (or to print out and draw onto for all you old-schoolers) please download from the link here.

We will await news from Stafford Rangers and update on DesignFootball.com as soon as decisions on next season's playing kit has been announced. Said decisions will be final.

Good luck!

We do have money to purchase the kit obviously, we just need a design to use for our kits, please have a go guys, it\'d be much appriciated from my perspective as a Rangers fan. I think the club know the suppliers, the fans just want a unique design.

When you say no stripes on away kits, do you mean no vertical or horizontal stripes, which I figured (ex dominant stripes like Newcastle and Stafford Rangers!), or can we put in a minimal stripe ala Middlesborough? Like a single white stripe across the crest that will feature the sponsor is what I mean to say. The shirt will still be predominantly one color minus the single stripe across the chest. Thanks

Surely the manufacturers who are supposed to be lined up can come up with their own designs or are they so cheap and lazy that they can\'t do it
