West Ham United 2006/2007 Season Was one of the most extraordinary years in the East London club’s illustrious history.
Argentinean Superstars, Icelandic Owners, different Managers and a team seemingly going down with the Christmas decorations in January – it was quite a season at Upton Park, one that West Ham United fans will never forget.

Premiership survival was everything.
There has never been a season with so many comings and goings. Alan Pardew was dismissed and in came Alan Curbishley – and so did new owner Eggert Magnusson – and all of this followed the somewhat surprise arrival of two Argentine World Cup players, Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano, the latter departing for Liverpool during the course of the season.
Whatever the chemistry and combinations, it took an awful long time for the Hammers to gel, despite optimism around the club pre-season, following the near miss in the 2006 FA Cup Final. Eventually seven wins out of nine kept West Ham in the top flight of English football
