 Citibank will be the new top sponsors of Werder Bremen. The contract between the world’s largest private bank and the Bundesliga club will run for three years with a one year extension clause included. The national and international deal will come into force as from July 1st 2007. The deal includes jersey sponsoring, presence in the stadium such as advertising hoardings, presence in the VIP lounges, a ticket allocation as well as the use of players for advertising and promotion. Ulrich Jordan, a member of the Citibank board of management: "We are delighted about this partnership. Werder Bremen is a top club, sportingly successful and financially very solidly run. We are sure the long term agreement with the club will also raise the profile of Citibank across Germany."

Wigan Athletic announced the signing of a Sponsorship Agreement with England kit manufacturers UMBRO. UMBRO will be the exclusive supplier of the Latics' playing and training kit for the forthcoming 2007/2008 season, the Latics' third consecutive season in the best domestic league in the world.
The news of this exciting new partnership comes straight after the dramatic final day of the 2006/07 Barclays Premiership season where the Latics won at Sheffield United to preserve their top-flight status. Wigan Athletic Chairman Dave Whelan says: "I am delighted to welcome UMBRO to Wigan Athletic as our new Technical partner.

 Kit-supplier Umbro is extending its sponsorship of French Lyon and grabbing a 49-percent share in its French licensee, Noel Soccer.
The move to grab a stake in Noel Soccer is similar to one in February in which Umbro reached an agreement to increase its equity stake in Team and Sports, a China licensee.
Umbro chief executive Peter McGuigan said the importance of the move's in France are underscored by that nation being the company's largest international market.

In the late 70’s when the likes of Joe Wark, Willie Pettigrew and Bobby Graham were strutting their stuff on the hallowed turf at Fir Park, the training and playing kit was manufactured by Bukta.
Motherwell Kit Manager, Alan McDonald even has an original Bukta training shirt worn by Joe Wark hanging proudly in his office to this day. In those days Motherwell F.C. were among many of the UK’s top teams to wear Bukta clothing. Bukta kit was also worn by West Ham, Newcastle and Ajax with a team that included Johan Cruyff.

 Northampton Town Football Club are pleased to announce details of a joint venture with Vandanel Retail Limited.
This will see Vandanel Retail operate the club shop on behalf of the football club and comes after a successful first season of Vandanel being the club's kit manufacturer.
"This deal should see a much bigger and more varied range of stock available for supporters", said Chairman David Cardoza. "We have enjoyed a very successful first season with Vandanel and we are pleased to be extending our partnership further.
