Aberdeen Football Club is delighted to announce the exciting news that adidas will be the Club's new kit supplier from this summer.
The partnership will give adidas exclusive rights to provide both the team playing and training kit, which will only be available to purchase via the Club retail store at Pittodrie Stadium and online. The Club will now also be taking control of all retail operations.
The new kits and training wear will feature adidas ClimaCool™ technology, a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the skin in the key heat zones. To commemorate the opening year of the partnership, both Home and Away playing kits will include a special, limited edition 'legacy' crest for Season 2011-12, while the Team Recruitment logo will also feature, with the Aberdeen based multi-disciplined service contractor having agreed to continue as Club Sponsor for a fourth year.
Dons supporters will get their first opportunity to see the new Home and Away kits from next month alongside the newly refurbished club shop. The Home kit and training wear will be launched and on sale in early July.
Aberdeen FC Chief Executive Duncan Fraser said, "adidas was synonymous with the Club during our most successful period and I'm sure our supporters will be absolutely delighted with the news that we are to be reunited with them.
"In addition, being able to secure a direct partnership with a global brand leader demonstrates our desire of where we wish to position the Club. Over the last few years many clubs have secured deals through secondary suppliers but this was something we were keen to move away from if we could, but only on the basis that we could land a market-leading brand with a reputation for quality. In adidas we have secured what we all believe to be the number one brand in football and for a Club such as ourselves, this is a hugely significant announcement."
Steve Holland, adidas Commercial Football Partnerships Manager said, '' adidas and Aberdeen share some unique history from when we last partnered back in 1979 - 87, we are delighted to be working closely with the club once again and hope that we can both emulate some of the previous successes. Aberdeen will become an integral part of our Scottish strategy and we look forward to a very positive relationship with the club and the fans''.
Thanks to Steve

If your overpriced tv deals went tits up down south, most of your clubs would be up a sh*t creek without a paddle and would go bust
Exactly mate. Celtic fan myself but Aberdeen are a decent club and if we all got £30 - £40 million a year from Sky then we would be grand.
you are a f*cking moron
troll
Shame you cant speak the language of the country you seem to love. toss pot.
please mate, if you're going to say england are the best in the world, at least take the time and effort to get your grammar sorted.
'england r besst in world fact'
1 win against slovenia (in which we didnt even play well) in the world cup doesnt really show that we are the best.
Yeah...a below average bottom 6 team trully deserves better...
the most successful club in the world deserve adidas
the material of the 83/84 top is a good one to use its kinda cottony nylon and very comfy. a remake of that would be great.
The top logo is looking very nice. They have to get that one back on the shirts... The second is such a l.ame modern logo, so ugly and boring. Third one isn't bad actually, but the first is way the best.
One of those?
Read it again. It's a direct deal, not one via a sports company. We previously had such a deal, with just sport-and we got poor quality Nike teamwear.
Duncan Fraser wants better quality and control with the new deal, and the legacy crest indicates this us a bespoke design specifically for Aberdeen.
So I guess we are up there with "the big boys".
What do you not understand?
Nah I want as many SPL clubs in Europe as possible... censored the Swiss league, their best team would have trouble against Motherwell....
