Bayern Munich to sign Audi deal

E-mail

Bayern munchen AudiBayern Munich are in talks with Audi about an 100 million euro a year investment and sponsorship deal, club manager Uli Hoeness said.

Audi want to take a share in Bayern as well as sign a lengthy shirt sponsorship agreement.

It was not clear what percentage of the club the German automaker was negotiating to acquire and what length the sponsorship deal would be.

The club's general manager Uli Hoeness said:

"This is a participation (in the club) and a long-term contract. It is a package. An advertising contract and a participation. The amount is well over 100 million euros (£90m)."

Hoeness said the deal was yet to be finalised but he expected an announcement before the club's annual general meeting on Nov. 27.

Wonder why this never happened earlier, with the four rings being based in Munich and all. No-brainer of a deal.

Bayern should just have a picture of me and my wife Trude on their shirts, promoting the tantric [censored] thing. Or an advert for my new folk album, about northern England winter songs ... .or something like that. I forget what I'm 'into' at the moment. My last album was with medieval lutes n stuff. I think.
