Celtic FC announced that it has agreed a new five-year kit deal with NIKE, the world's leading sports brand. The new agreement will begin in the summer of 2010.
Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce this new deal with NIKE. To once again secure a partnership of this kind with the world's leading sports brand is tremendous news for Celtic Football Club.
“It is a deal which extends our global profile and reach and one which will bring great benefit to the Club. Clearly, it is most satisfying that the Club is making such progress and striving forward in this manner.
“At all times, Celtic strives for excellence on and off the field. It is fitting that, as Champions of Scotland and a regular UEFA Champions League participant, we are to continue our partnership with NIKE, one of the most prestigious brands in sport.
“Clearly, it is also pleasing that NIKE once again sees Celtic as one of the leading names in world football and is happy to continue our association.
“The Club has developed an excellent relationship with NIKE already after four successful years of commercial partnership and we now look forward with confidence to making it a decade of continued success for both organisations.
"Celtic Football Club has the best supporters in the world and a global reach of which we are extremely proud.
“Through our association with NIKE, the Club has already made a great impact on satisfying the demand from its huge global support. This extended relationship will allow us to further achieve our aspirations both at home and abroad.
Bert Hoyt, VP and GM of Nike Global Football added: “We are delighted to be signing a new contract with Celtic and extending our partnership with the Club for five year more years.
“Nike Football is about innovating for the greatest clubs in the world and Celtic is definitely one of those teams. We look forward to continuing to build on the excellent relationship NIKE has with the Club and its fans between now and 2015.”

Im a villa fan and if we ever got kappa shirts i for one wouldnt buy!!!
nike is good for celtic at the end of the day how much can you really do with green and white hoops!!!
If celtic were to switch to, say, adidas, they would probably end up with some radical, modern looking crap that nobody likes. If they switched to kappa, they\'d be wearing some skin tight crap with logos everywhere. Seriously, Nike is probably the best option for someone like Celtic.
Oh the Celtic are S H I T E !!!

This site is for people to comment and debate on the asthetic elements and technological developments of new kits and I am sick of all the small-minded, foul-mouthed, barely-literate idiots who use the launch of a new kit as an opotunity to spout their pointless, brainless nonsense.
PLEASE stick to your equally pointless and brainless message boards where you can live in the past with all the other neanderthals.
THANK YOU
BTW - The Hun posts on this topic are as usual, an embarrasment. BJK, WATP, FTP - laughable rubbish - especially \"followfollow21\" - judging by your avatar you really have nothing to be smug about.
On the shirts, I like the Celtic kits, they are classy and distinctive, and the yellow away is really nice. The white kit from two seasons ago was a classic.
If I was given the choice, I would have a kit deal with Le cog sportif, as I generally like their designs or Errea (very impressed with the designs for Burnley and middlesbrough -both retro and modern at the same time) .
Nike have made great shirts for Celtic. Glad to see it continue.
