Leeds United are delighted to announce a four-season kit deal with emerging Italian sportswear brand Macron.

Leeds United are delighted to announce a four-season kit deal with emerging Italian sportswear brand Macron. Macron are well-established on the continent across all sports and currently supply sports wear to many clubs in Europe.

Macron currently supply Swansea City, and their garments are highly technical in composition from top quality fabric. Macron supply thousands of clubs from all levels across Europe from their extensive range and while they have a supply chain through independent retailers in the UK, it's hoped the partnership with Leeds United will establish them in the UK high street.

Leeds United chief executive Shaun Harvey said: "This is an exciting partnership for the club and it will enable us to work with Macron as their flagship club in Europe.

"The decision to work with Macron in preference to other international brands, who were also interested in supplying kit to Leeds United, was easy when we learned that their long-term objectives for their brand complement our own objectives.

" The deal will see Macron supplying kits, training wear for the senior team, reserves team, and Academy. Gianluca Pavanello, Chief Executive Officer at Macron S.p.A. said:

"Macron are delighted to announce its new partnership with Leeds United, one of the greatest names in English football. We feel privileged that Macron will be associated with a club that has such a huge history and greatness.

"We feel we are joining Leeds at a time when the club is marching back towards where it belongs, in the Premiership. Leeds United will be the flagship of our activity in Europe and we will put all our resources into making sure we supply the club and its fans with the best products available.

"We would like to thank the chairman of Leeds United Mr Bates and chief executive Mr Harvey for the opportunity they have given Macron and would also like to thank Mike Farnan of RedStrike Marketing, our sponsorship agency, for helping negotiate this partnership."

Yes, apart from the mistake they made with both one sleeved shirts last year, Macron have made excellent kits for Swansea City - genuinely different an innovative strips, like the green and black striped kit released a couple of weeks back. I just hope that this deal doesn\'t mean that Leeds and the Swans will have pretty much identical strips from here on in.

How the mighty have fallen, remember when this was a team with a Nike kit on verge of Champions league glory, now just a small club that attracts small names !! That is what greed does..

You all say that the mighty have fallen from the old days of having a Nike Tick on their kit to the new Macron logo. Macron my not be your well known household name in the UK but it is a big company in Europe and has picked a club that my hvae been down on its luck due to x,y and z, but are on the rise and they think that it would be more benifical and profitable to go for Leeds United who will get a lot of media coverage for the fall and the rise they are now making. I for one think that it is good that other companies get involved instead of everyone having the same designed kit but in a different colour. Swansea\'s kits this year are good quailty and different to the norm and look the part and will be worn in the Championship next season and hopefully Leeds will also.

when do we has supporters who buy the shirts get an input into the design instead of having to wear what the club and kit manufactures come up with ? lets hope macron deliver what they say they are going to do? and both leeds and macron are marching on together.mkulx
