After Charlton Athletic, Dundee United and Bournemouth who all signed a JD sports deal earlier, Luton Town Football Club announced a new kit supply and sponsorship deal with the UK's leading sports fashion retailer, JD Sports.

JD Sports has signed a two-year deal with the Club and the arrangement will see one of JD's exclusive youth fashion brands, Carbrini Sportswear as the shirt sponsor and the official kit supplier of Luton Town's home, away and training kit.

Gary Sweet, Managing Director of the Hatters commented on the new sponsorship,

"This deal represents exactly the type of partnership we are looking for. As premium names in the sports fashion world, JD Sports and Carbrini are perfectly aligned to our own core values and we are proud to be associated with them. Our club's future is about youth so of course the synergies are obvious.

Gary continued, "It takes a brave company to partner with us considering our current circumstances. However, we discussed our business plan and vision of the future with JD Sports and they were extremely supportive. The similarities between our two companies are significant so moving forward together will obviously be of mutual benefit.

Barry Bown, Chief Executive of JD Sports commented: "We are proud to be sponsoring Luton Town for the forthcoming season. JD Sports is committed to supporting communities in which we trade and our sponsorship of Luton Town reflects this. The deal offers us a great opportunity to develop the Carbrini Sportswear brand and we're looking forward to maximising the potential of this partnership during the coming season."

In conclusion, Gary said, "We could only sign this deal once we received confirmation of the transfer of the Football League share to us, so it has been a long wait in concluding the contract. We did have other options, but we were looking for a partner that was fully aligned to our cornerstones of honesty and youth. Cabrini is exactly that and we look forward to a fruitful relationship."

The Hatters will be playing in the new home kit on their League opener against Port Vale on the 9th August and will release the new designs for both home and away kits on the official website in the next few days.

I\'d rather wear one of those old BEDFORD vans shirts from the late 80\'s than ever wear something from JD Chav and particularly Chavbrini. Fooking hell, times are desperate

Just because someone is working class doesn\'t make them a chav, what a censored. Chavs are people that wear clothes from JD or JJB when not doing sports. I gather that might be you are you chav. Bet you\'re too scared to get a job

Im a long time surporter of Luton Town and to read robs view on the new sponser makes me hope that he isn\'t a hatters fan, if it gets ur back up to have JD\'s as a sponser that makes me believe u are stuck in the past and need to grow up and see we are not as big as we used to be, on top of that we were lucky to even get a sponser because of money troubles we had so to be honest they helped us out and me as a surporter thank them for that.
Also as for being a chav shop u need to realize where the phrase chav come from it was given to people that wear Burberry not sports wear (JD doesn\'t sell Burberry)

Er no, chav doesn;t mean just burberry. Knobs with their \"trackies\" tucked in their socks are equally chavvy. If anything, Burberry is associated like Aquascutum, with hooligans. ANYONE who wears sportswear generally is pretty much a chav. Luton could have gone with someone better than Carbrini, ,maybe like Lidl or Netto sports - got to be better than JD. Chav
