UMBRO IS AWFUL! BLAND DESIGNS! At least Le Coq is different, they have good designs, and the material is great.
As a fan of a team that has the manufacturer some people like to call Le Coq Sportif, or as i like to call it...SHIT! anything is an improvement so all i can say is that i am extremely jealous! They wont have shirts made that aweful aweful standard for at least one season, and i have to admit that this is one wish i make for my team that hopefully will happen one day but i don\'t think it will happen for a long long time.
For those non Man City fans have a look at some of the \'interesting\' designs that appeared the last time these 2 joined up (in particular the 96-97 away):

And how Adidas do the same with Derby County, Macclefield Town and Peterborough United?
Why the creeping elitist snobbery with football kits and their manufacturers on here nowadays?
Umbro used to be a Manchester company and it is traditional that they make City\'s shirts. Quite probably they will be designed with the same templates as Umbro\'s other teams but they can\'t be half as bad as that shocking asymmetric orange nightmare of athird kit Le Coq produced last year. The home kit was bad too, as was the \"carbonated\" striped away kit.
So I would imagine that is tour answer.
I hate those Le Coq Sportiv kits. :s
On topic, I think this move is bittersweet. I do hate the current Man City shirts, but I loved all three of last year\'s shirts. I also love the £30 price tag, and I am cautious about the supposed £50 asking price for the forthcoming England shirt. If the new City shirt is to be £50, it has better be the best City shirt ever.
What I am trying to say is i think that the whole point in them having Umbro is so they dont appear to lose touch with what they really are an English football team. Yes they are owned by a Sheik and are targeting nationalities from all over the globe, but I feel this is more a psychological decision than financial.
And in the long run, if or when they get into the Champions League and really want to state claim to being the best football team in the world then Nike still have the option to do an Umbro to Nike kit manufacturer swap, similar to what Adidas did with Liverpool when they bought Reebok.
Guess who the owner of Umbro is!
i thought man city with [who knows how much money] owners
many people would of thought they\'d a big contract like adidas not damn umbro
man city sort it out get a shirt like liverpool or chelsea please!
uber \'n\'n out B)
Who the censored are Manchester City?
your a douche pan for saying that
your embarassing your self !
its never funny to show you have a lack of knowledge !
why umbro i\'m not really sure but could have something to do with Gary Cook the Executive Chairman working for nike for the past 25 yrs and Nike now owning Umbro?!
Hopefully they will run out the contract this time instead of only keeping le coq sportif for 2 of the 5 yrs of their contract.
Sorry to tell u tho but the shirts will be £45 for adults and £35 for kids! Bad times for the fans but they will be better quality shirts. Can\'t see city doin a deal with umbro where they have the rights to be able to sell the shirts cheaper than anywhere else tho like they did with le coq sportif with prices like them?!
