Middlesbrough Football Club today announces adidas as new kit suppliers from summer 2009.
The partnership will give adidas exclusive rights to provide all playing, training and replica kit over an initial four-year term.
The first chance Boro supporters will have to see the result of the new partnership will be the launch of an exciting new training range in June, followed by the launch of a new-look 2009-10 home kit in July.
Middlesbrough FC's Chief Operating Officer Neil Bausor said: "The club is delighted to be joining forces with a market-leading global sports brand.
"The club has a history with adidas that dates back to the 1970s. Our new, long-term agreement enables us to work with adidas again to provide the playing staff and fans alike with product ranges that blend exceptional quality, design and technology.
"We're confident the club's supporters will be delighted with the move to adidas and the new range."
Gavin Thomson, Sales Director adidas UK and Ireland said: "Everyone at adidas is very excited about our new partnership with Middlesbrough Football Club.
"Middlesbrough is a great club with a proud heritage and a loyal fan base. We look forward to a very rewarding and successful relationship for both parties.''

All replica kit will continue to be available exclusively via the MFC Official retail stores and online.

They are synonamous with only taloring small clubs. I speak for many who are delighted we have after a long 26 year wait to get back with the worlds number 1 kit manufacturer.
All we need now is that awful, unoriginal excuse of a club badge to be replaced along with Gareth Southgate!
Maybe a generic, nondescript kit would be best for a generic, nondescript team in the Championship.
sheep...follow a team beacuse it wins every week bit dull really...for dull people.
Up the boro...we support our local team.
As the most important Football League in world, EPL teams should wear top brands such as Adidas, Nike, Puma, Umbro and Reebok not Errea please!!!
Boro will get a Derby-esque teamwear kit instead of actual design with watermarks included etc. like with L\'pool and Chelski
I wan umbro, they were bought by nike and there new kits are amazing.
I heard they are doing a Man City kit like englands but in blue.
That would be amazing for boro in red.
Why do we always end up a laughing stock
Adidas- Reebok
Umbro- Nike
it\'s time to buy a boro\'s kit?
Adidas designs tend to be rather bland, and when they do try to be innovative it usually ends up looking tacky e.g. the new Spain kit.
However, when you consider what an abject miserable season it\'s been for Boro, our fans have to start looking for positives off the pitch and this is some pretty good news for once.
If they do get relegated then Its sad that their gonna get the World Class Sponsor when they will be in the Championship while Wigan will get a very crappy sponsor in a form of Vandanel when they are trying to qualify for a EUROPA spot or any decent Premier League Position.
Well done Boro.
Boro aren\'t \"in debt\". The club itself is only in debt to Steve Gibson. As far as credit is going, Boro owes nothing to banks and has no \"real\" debt.
Get some real knowledge, you sound like an absolute twat. Go and die
I know for a fact that most Boro fans are very happy about the club ditching Errea. And they\'re the ones who buy the kits, so their opinion matters.
How about \'PONY\' :cheer:
I also know that Errea are a very forward thinking company and that Boro have always benifited from being their \'flagship\' club. I think that a lot of Boro fans are going to be in for a shock when they see the style, quality and price of their new Adidas kit.....the grass is alwys greener, and all that.
I cant believe this many boro fans really give a **** about who the hell makes our kit? We all turned into frickin \"*** in the city\" women or something? Who the hell cares who makes the kit?!? Your probably all west stand boys who dont even sing. Arggggggggh...(sorry I am a bit narcked cos its begining to sink in that we are probably going down and the irrelevance of boro fans being bothered about who the kit manufacturer just got me a bit fuming). Anyways will be re-newing the ticket for next season - Championship or not!
main issue is we\'re more down than a russian sub - off to the reebok in another game that gate will claim is not must win (and its too late even for someone to explain that you do have to win games...)
up the boro - 09/10!
:woohoo: :cheer:
Im listening to the bolton game and its just out luck that were loosing 1-0... typical
I really hope we stay up but i cant see it happening and with the kits being done by adidas i dont really care tbh, all i am botherd about at the minue is staying up
Lets get behind the smoggies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COME ON BORO
Its almost certain that were going down and im hoping that Middlesbrough FC, its fans and Adidas can all help the club progress and get us back up next season!
