MK Dons announce ISC Kit Deal

E-mail

mk Dons iscMilton Keynes Dons FC announced its new three-year partnership with Australian sportswear manufacturer ISC, who will become the official supplier of playing kit, trainingwear and replica shirts from 1st July, 2010.

The Sydney-based company, formed in 1991, will take its first steps into football with their association with the Dons, having firmly established themselves as a market leader in Rugby League, Rugby Union and Australian Football.

ISC (International Sports Clothing) have built their international profile by providing athletes with performance-based garments that enable them to train and compete at their optimum, and supporters with quality clothing that allows them to wear their colours with pride.

Primarily associated with many of the top Australian Rugby League teams, ISC came to the UK in 2003 and today provides playing kit for Super League teams Leeds Rhinos, Warrington Wolves and Hull Rugby Football Club.

MK Dons will also take over the direct day-to-day management of its own Club Superstore and online shop from July, with a whole new range of special promotions for supporters including a five percent discount facility for all season ticket holders.

The new MK Dons kits will be unveiled at a special World Cup launch event in red dot bar at stadiummk on Friday 11th June at 6pm, prior to the France v Uruguay match. Entry is exclusive to the first 200 season ticket holders, who can apply for a free ticket to the event now from the MK Dons Box Office. Further details will be announced later this week.

MK Dons Chairman, Pete Winkelman said: "Our exciting partnership with ISC represents another groundbreaking moment for MK Dons, as we become the world's first football club to sport this rising international brand.

"We have been impressed by ISC's commitment to providing our players with a stylish, quality and, very importantly, uniquely-designed kit and I am sure that our supporters will be just as thrilled when they see the new strips unveiled next month.

"I would like to place on record our thanks to all the Nike Just Sport team who have overseen our retail and merchandising operation in such a professional and diligent manner over the last three years.

"The decision for us to move away was driven by nothing more than a desire to run our own merchandising operation, something we now feel ready to do after three years at stadiummk and something not possible in our existing arrangement.

"We wish everyone at Nike Just Sport every success as they continue to grow their operations elsewhere in the industry."

Daniel Drew from ISC said "This is an historic day for ISC. To join forces with MK Dons not only gives us a fantastic platform from which to grow but most importantly will enable MK Dons to grow as well.

"We are confident MK Dons will benefit from the expertise we will add and we wish them every success for what we believe will be a winning season, both on and off the field."

They are big in Australian rugby and they make kits for 3 or 4 of the teams in Super League in the UK, but not rugby union.
Their rugby league kits are good quality, but when canterbury tried to make the cross over to football, as we all know, it did not go well.

ISC are a top brand in rugby clothing in Australia manufacturing the jerseys of around 12 teams in the afl and nrl, their jersey designs have nice collars and theyre pretty good when it comes to designing traditional jerseys

ISC have made great rugby league jerseys and training gear to date, they also have a great range jackets, hoodies, training tops etc. I have a number of ISC branded clothing over the last few years (since 2002) and have not any issues or wear and tear and any yet!

Don't ISC have ANY idea that they are getting involved with easily the least respected club in British football??!

Unbelieveably poor marketing strategy from an Australian company with zero football heritage and no understanding of tradition, you can't just buy your way in and act like you've always been around....oh, hang on....maybe ISC and Francise FC suit each other perfectly.

The rest of us will be buying AFC Wimbledon shirts.
