The energy company AREVA will be the main sponsor and shirt sponsor for 1. FC Nürnberg in the coming season 2008/2009. The deal brokered by SPORTFIVE is a long-term one which covers both first-and second-division competition in Germany's Bundesliga.

AREVA's commitment to 1. FC Nürnberg is designed to help the company achieve greater popularity in Germany. AREVA is the world leader in the field of nuclear technology and also builds power stations for the generation of renewable forms of energy, current transfer and distribution.

And that corresponds well with the clearly formulated aims of 1. FC Nürnberg to collaborate with a strong regional sponsor interested in a long-term commitment.

"We are delighted to have found a strong local partner in AREVA," said Michael A. Roth, president of 1. FC Nürnberg. "We intend to work together to maintain the level of enthusiasm which has characterised the club in recent years and to take the club right back into the Bundesliga." Gräber confirmed 1. FC Nürnberg's goal for the upcoming season by saying that, "We want to help take the club back where it belongs – in the first division."

"As far as sponsoring is concerned," added Christian Kothe, head of the SPORTFIVE team in Nuremberg, "I can say that we are now fully equipped well ahead of the start of the season in four weeks. With AREVA as our main sponsor, we have laid a good and robust foundation for the future."

The sponsoring package gives AREVA the right to use the title "Official Main Sponsor of 1. FC Nürnberg" in all its advertising activities. It also covers placement of the AREVA logo on the players' jerseys and in pitch-side advertising, in the club magazine and on the club bus as well as for other promotional purposes.

That away kit with the different color sleeves is great. Adidas makes masterpieces.

Boring? Hah look at some Nike kits.
