Preston North End have signed a three-year-deal with Puma to become the official kit supplier and the official licensee of replica merchandise for the Club.
Fans will be able to view the new look kit in the coming weeks with home kit launched on the 23rd April
Speaking about the deal Preston North End Chairman Derek Shaw said: "We are delighted to be entering into a partnership with PUMA. Like ourselves, they have a proud heritage in the game of football and a strong internationally renowned brand and this is the sort of partnership we want for this football club as we look to further enhance our own brand and reputation. We have extended our relationship with Enterprise until the end of the 2010/2011 season as well and we think that PUMA are the perfect partner to show off the great support that Enterprise give the Club through their sponsorship deal."
The contract will see PUMA supply the club with their Technical and Replica Kit and Trainingwear for the next three seasons. Roger Harrison, PUMA UK Marketing Director comments: "PUMA football product has been worn by some of footballs greatest legends over the years, from Pele to Cryuff. We are thrilled to be working with one of English football’s most famous clubs and its fans. We are confident that through this partnership we will not only increase exposure of PUMA in the North West of England but also deliver a strong service to the club, team and its fans.”
Preston North End boss Darren Ferguson has already seen the new-look shirts and he is confident that the PNE fans will like them as much as he does: "I am delighted that the Club have appointed PUMA as our new technical partner. I said when I came into the building that Preston North End is a proper football club and PUMA are a proper football brand and I am really excited about teaming up with them. I've already seen the home and away kits for next season and I know the fans will love them and I look forward to seeing the terraces packed with people in the new kits at the start of next season. This Club has a great history and I think the new kit reflects that history as well as looking exciting and new ready for the challenges ahead and for building this Club, growing to where we all want to be."
Genesis Sports are PUMA’s Licensee for PRO Teamsports for the UK & Ireland and the launch of the Preston North End PUMA 10/11 Home Kit will be in April, with Traningwear in June and Away Kit following in July.
Russell Thomas, Head of Sports Sponsorship, Genesis Sports commented: “It is fantastic to announce the development of our relationship with Preston North End FC, we have supplied with the Club with own-label leisurewear for a number of years and are delighted to extend our partnership into Technical Kit and Training Wear in association with PUMA for the next three years. We look forward to working closely with the Club on the development of technical product ranges for both supporters and playing staff alike."

Trust me.
Genesis are actually a very decent company and PNE are probably better off dealing with them rather than directly with Puma.
retard.
It's a shame these kits probably won't see the light of day. Actually it isn't
Their away kit had better not be any shade of orange. Orange is the colour of PNE's hated rival, Blackpool. There is no way PNE supporters would vote for Tangerine. It will be interesting to see what colour these away kits turn out to be,,
Are you sure?
Whooooosh
Sure about what Seasiders? Obviously, you are a Blackpool supporter. Are your shirts not still Orange? All the Blackpool kit I've seen have been is Orange. Your clubs website is Orange. And I' sure I've seen the Tangerines as a nickname for the club itself.
Granted, I'm a new P.N.E supporter, but I find it hard to believe that Preston would wear Orange.
From what I've read our rivalry is quite old and can be quite fierce, even breaking out into violence from time to time. And judging by comments like those by Blackpool_Boi it seems the rivalry is still as vehement as ever (in certain quarters anyway).
Now if seasiders is asking the OP, insider, I apologize I'm not trying to have a go or anything. Not even at a Mucker
oh and by the way it's not orange it's Tangerine!
I stand corrected on the colour.
As for what makes me a Preston supporter, my family came to Canada from the Preston area in the early 1900s. So that makes Preston my ancestral home team.
Everyone I know from England has nothing but bad things to say about Preston as a place. One mate said "they wouldn't give a cold if they had one". It makes me smile. The place we are from now in Canada has a very similar industrial working class reputation and is known as a place were people are very rough and tumble.
Hamilton Ontario is also home to one of Canada's fiercest sporting rivalries. The CFL Hamilton Tiger Cats have a long standing rivalry with the Toronto Argonauts. For those who don't know, our football league is similar to American football but out game is a bit tougher to play and our pro league is much older than the US.
I know Preston and Blackpool hate one another but I believe in keeping that stuff on the field or at the least keeping it in good fun. And I have no problem with Seasider fans. I think that stuff only gets super serious to people who have personally seen the trouble it causes.
Its funny actually, I sent a picture of a Blackpool kit to a collector friend and I was saying how much I liked the shirt and how the colours were very unique. He got a good laugh that an "exiled lillywhite" as he called me, should find a Blackpool shirt appealing. He then filled me in on the history of the rivalry. There is even a book on famous football rivalries and its call "From Blackpool to Barcelona" so apparently its quite the famous rivalry.
But anyway, back to the kit. I guess we'll have to wait and see what that kit looks like but I hope it isn't too Blackpool-esque. No sense in getting people wound up and interfering with traditions.
I've heard of the famous Blackpool FC but not these guys!
He gives himself away with his poor spelling and shocking use of what I can only presume is supposed to be the English language?
Makes it all the better to know three things. Firstly, we have by far the more illustrious and splendid history- being the first league champions and double winners, having the oldest consistently used football league ground in the world and being home to the National Football Museum. Secondly, We have a ground...with four stands....and more than 6 rows of seats on each side. And thirdly and finally- this website has an inbuilt spell checker- so all of your spelling mistakes and grammatical errors really are inexcusable.
North End 'till I die!
any team that play in orange (apart from holland) look like complete twats, especially with a ground that holds about 7,000.
so all you little shitheads, go away and play with your donkeys.
