West Brom offering match-by-match Shirt Sponsorship

West-Brom-Albion-sponsor-offer.jpgWest Brom Albion are ready to open talks about ground-breaking shirt sponsorship deals they can now offer on a match-by-match basis.

For the second season running, the team are playing in unsponsored shirts as the Club's search for a suitable, long-term, official sponsor continues.

However, after receiving clarification from the Football League, Albion can now offer businesses and organisations the unique opportunity to sponsor their shirt for single or multiple games.

And with four forthcoming Baggies matches to be screened live by Sky Sports and the BBC, this is the perfect time for a company to join forces with the Club and have their brand broadcast to a worldwide audience.

The Club have already successfully helped promote the country's bid to stage the World Cup in nine years' time by having 'England 2018' logos printed on their shirts during the season-opener against Newcastle, which was screened live on BBC1.

Albion are now open to further single or multiple-game deals on a commercial basis.

Finance Director Mark Jenkins said: "The Football League has clarified that, under their rules, we are able to offer shirt sponsorship deals on a short-term, as well as the traditional long-term, basis.

"The first business to come forward and take advantage of this unique opportunity could make a little piece of footballing history as we have never offered this before.

"The World Cup Bid team were delighted with how we helped raise the profile of their campaign across the globe.

"The same opportunity is now available for businesses and organisations interested in striking a commercial deal with the Club.

"Of course, ideally, we would like to team up with a long-term official Club sponsor.

"We have held talks with several companies over the past 18 months but, until we receive a suitable offer from the right organisation, we are willing to sell our shirt sponsorship rights on a match-by-match basis.

"Becoming a principle Club sponsor means much more than just having a logo on our shirt and we would like to discuss in detail with interested parties the exciting commercial and marketing opportunities on offer."

Albion were unable to offer short-term shirt sponsorship deals last season as they are not allowed under Premier League rules.

Anyone interested in discussing sponsoring Albion's shirt on a single or multiple-game basis should call Mark Jenkins on 0871 271 9848.

The shirt looks absolutely gorgeous without a sponsor. The wider stripes are better than the skinny stripes used by the teams in the northeast (Sunderland, Newcastle). Although a game by game sponsorships would still allow the fans to purchase a sponsorless shirt and the club still has a means of revenue.

This is insane. For a start, they'll lose so much revenue from consumerism. Think about it, fans won't want to buy a shirt that won't be relevant in two games, nor will they want to be wearing a blank one if the players have a sponser. They'll also lose money from the training jerseys etc.

They'll also lose money from game manufacturers, like Fifa 10 and PES. They'll have to make the shirt blank cause they won't update the game every 2 weeks, even with Internet updates.

They'd be better with shirt sponsership that's consistent through a season, a shorts sponser and if they really want to squeeze money, sponsers on the training tops/ teamwear/ apparel.

the club will not be selling the shirts with the temporary sponsors as fans have loved not having one on, i myself are a fan of the baggies and love the shirt without the sponsor, its a win win situation, fans get sponsorless classy shirts yet the club gets some money, as for losing money through consumerism you very wrong. training jerseys will be blank also, its purely for match day players shirts. the sponsorship can be for one game two games or for 6months, its up to the company.

how would they lose money from video games? I don't see how a blank shirt would cause the baggies to get less money from game manufacturers... Also I think most fans would love the opportunity to buy a shirt without any sponsor on it.

Someone should knock some sense into the West Brom management. First, they had the opportunity to receive MUCH MORE when they were in the Premiership, yet they declined it. After being relegated, they are still waiting. Now they want to do game-by-game? What a joke... they will waste so much money just reprinting the jerseys and it will be a logistical nightmare for stores to order

roland, and any one else who thinks albion are going to be re printing shirts, for the record

SHIRTS AT WBA ARE SOLD SPONSORLESS (fans love this)

Sponsors are purely for the match worn players shirts!
