In the match at Cliftonhill against Stenhousemuir, Albion rovers fans have seen the launch of the strip to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the club.
It seems the colours are not, as previously thought revert to the pre-1961 colors of blue and white. Instead they turn to be red and yellow. The kit was modelled at half-time by a player, the club hope to wear it for real in the last (barring play-offs) match of the season at home to East Stirlingshire on 28th April.
The club was formed with the merger of Albion and Rovers in 1882 and admitted to the Scottish Football League in 1903. They play in primrose yellow and red strips having changed from royal blue, white and black in 1961. Their greatest claim to fame is that they were Scottish Cup runners up in season 1919-20, losing in the final to Kilmarnock F.C.

The 2006-2007 season sees the club celebrate its 125th anniversary and various events and souvenirs are planned.
This season also saw the club progress to the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup, their first semi-final since 1921, a match they lost 4 - 1 to Ross County in Dingwall.
