These four footballers held the title for the Under-17 European Championships. They represented the red-and-white Club with honour in the Spanish selection, and symbolize the future promises of Atletico de Madrid—in which they have symbolized and well-depicted that they are the protagonist of this special moment for all of Atletico and its supporters.

President Enrique Cerezo thanked Nike for its continuous yearly contribution and support to the red-and-whites and emphasized that "Club Atletico de Madrid has the desire to continue again with the endorsement and support of a multinational American company with as much prestige as Nike. Since its foundation in 1968, Nike’s company image represents the true spirit of sports, establishing simultaneously a direct association with self-improvement and growth. Therefore, it has always aimed at uniting a new philosophy of technical knowledge.

After, the President emphasized the two most important elements in which Atletico’s new uniforms were based upon, and he indicated that "many details have been incorporated that identify the city of Madrid and our faithful supporters, which continue to represent the admiration and fondness of the Spanish culture. Both of these represent a reference point and encouragement for soccer and for all of us. Club Atletico de Madrid, born and grown over 104 years ago, has recognizably developed and expanded in today’s world of sports. The valuable and cherished support of the city of Madrid and its fans was the foremost motivation in our design for this season’s uniforms."

Mr. Enrique Cerezo also highlighted that the long-lasting institutions are the ones that recognize the past and critique their future. In this sense, he reiterated that" Club Atletico de Madrid promises its fans, who represent an institution that recognizes in itself, past, present and future, continuous work with the aim and ambitions of expanding internationally, as well as of accomplishing club objectives together with the always important support of its official sponsors and supporters of both Madrid and Spain."

Atletico’s first team’s shirts contain irregular red-and-white stripes, with a modern blue V-shaped neckline. In the backside of the neck area, which is in red, resides the Spanish flag, which symbolizes the Club Atletico de Madrid’s position as one of the most important clubs in Spain. Furthermore, in addition to the name of the Club, the neck area includes a phrase that expresses the strong link the fans of Club Atletico de Madrid and the team: "Atleti: a feeling, an eternal passion".

Nevertheless, the news did not finish here, for the jerseys that are put up for sale, as an exclusive element only, the lower part of the shirt contains Madrid’s emotional symbol: Madrid’s bear and the 7 constellation of the Big Dipper, all within the Club’s Shield. Apart from the traditional red-and-white jersey, the club also presented the second uniform. For the first time, the second uniform contains the same details as the first one, which will be in peacock blue inspired by the colours of Club Atletico de Madrid’s shield.
