This is the first glimpse of the new away shirt that Charlton will wear in the 2007/08 season Based on a club kit in 1923 , the new away strip - which will be accompanied by navy shorts and socks - replaces last season's black away strip.
But Alan Pardew's men will continue to wear the black kit at times during the coming 2007/08 Championship campaign as it becomes the club's third kit.
The red home strip remains unchanged. Retail manager Michael Rea said: "If we were going to have a blue kit, it was important that it didn't look like another club's kit, which is why we have gone for the denim and seahawk blue stripes.

Supporters should note that the club's Bexleyheath retail outlet is currently closed during the summer, but is scheduled to re-open on July 18th with the official launch of the new away kit.
