FC United of Manchester wish to announce the date and format for the launch of your new home shirt. After a vote taken at the last GM, members decided to produce a new shirt for the forthcoming season. A competition was set for club members to design the shirt.
This resulted in over a hundred designs being submitted.
After a couple of lengthy and caffeine fuelled selection sessions , a panel comprising of Club Secretary, Lindsey Robertson, Karl Marginson and various supporters and board members, a short list of four shirts were selected. These designs were then submitted to members to vote on.

The winning design was submitted by member Ian Knott who got to visit the Tempest facility in Turkey to watch the first shirt being made. When asked for his reactions to winning the competition Ian had this to say:
"To be able to contribute to FC as a member by submitting a design and voting on the shirt was great but to get this design voted in as next season's shirt made me immensely proud and excited"
"Big thanks to Alp and everyone at Tempest for the competition and the amazing prize. Alp was a fantastic host, showing us all the sights and the modern factory where the shirt is produced. Tempest discussed all the production process with me and having seen the samples they have done a superb job in reproducing the design.
The new season can't come soon enough for me. Next season I shall be mostly wearing FC's new shirt."Tempest are equally delighted at their continued involvement with FC United. "This is a really nice traditional kit but with a twist. We saw all four designs that were voted on and are very pleased with the final choice. The material in the new kit has had a process applied to make it more resistant to the rigours of a lengthy football season. Tempest wish FC United continued success for the coming season and the seasons beyond.
